each carved seated on its haunches with its front paws firmly planted on the rectangular base, the head turned sharply to the side with mouth open to reveal the teeth and up-curled tongue, the ears flattened back above the long, curling mane, a collar tied in a bow at the neck suspending a bell, with traces of later-added red, black and green pigments (2)
