Catalogue Note

A RARE PUBLICATION, describing Licent’s second series of travels in Northern China between 1923 and 1933. The Jesuit Émile Licent performed a remarkable amount of important research with the help of the missionaries who collected scientific data. The pages show maps and pictures made during his trip. This atlas is a continuation of the preceding work Dix années 1914-1923 (see lot 83). Appears to originally be part of a set of 4 volumes, 3 being text volumes.
