Apparently the only ink drawing by the artist for the series, as he primarily worked in pencil to convey a nostalgia tone.

Garth Williams (1912–1996) was an American children’s book illustrator of classics such as Stuart Little (1945), Charlotte’s Web (1952) and Little House on the Prairie (1952) and its sequels and he wrote and illustrated the controversial “The Rabbits’ Wedding” (1958).
