Catalogue Note
A later design for the book cover of “Drengen drømte” (1951) based on this image, was created by this Danish surrealist Anton Hansen(1891-1960), he was a cartoonist and painter, illustrating for the Norwegian Exlex and Arbeiderbladet and German Simplicissimus as well as local papers with political, social and satirical sketches, including Ekstra Bladet, Socialdemokraten and Information. He is also known as an illustrator of children’s books, including a Danish edition of Grimm’s Fairy Tales.
