Condition

The work consists of two canvases, one adhered to the other. Both canvases undulate in places and are very slightly loose on the stetcher, but are otherwise sound. There is a stretcher bar mark along the upper edge. There are isolated lines of craquelure in places, including an area with associated loss towards the upper right corner. There is an area of reticulation in the upper right corner. The upper-most canvas is securely adhered, and has a number of creases, losses and areas of craquelure with flakes of loss, all of which are inherent to the Artist's method and are firmly secure. There is a light layer of surface dirt to the work. Subject to the above the work is in very good overall condition. Not inspected under ultraviolet light. The work is presented unframed.
