Condition

The sculpture appears sound. The are thee or four instances where there is some cracking between elements of the bronze where they have been joined, thought to be in keeping with the artist's technique. There is a small nick to the bronze to the woman's left torso and small pitted areas to the surface of the bronze, most likely a result of the casting process and inherent to the Artist's technique. There is a scratch to the woman's back, approximately 3cm long, with a couple of minor scratches elsewhere. There is some very slight rubbing to some of the protruding edges. There is a small area of oxidisation to the rear of the man's head, where it joins the body of the woman on the right side, with a few further tiny flecks visible elsewhere. There is a light layer of surface dirt most apparent in the crevices of the piece. Subject to the above the work appears to be in very good overall condition. The sculpture is freestanding.
