Condition
The board appears sound. There is some rounding to the edges of the board and some loss to the oil at both of the lower corners of the board. There are some scuffs, nicks and scratches to the board, particularly to the right third of the work, some of which are thought to be in keeping with the artist's working method. There are a few scuffs to the extreme edges, with a few minor associated losses. There is some very light surface dirt and minor staining in places. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals pigments which fluoresce, but these are thought to be in keeping with the artist's materials.
The work is float mounted and presented in a gilt and painted wooden frame.
