Condition

Unexamined out of frame. The canvas appears sound. There are one or two small areas of very fine isolated craquelure, most apparent in the maroon pigment in the lower right quadrant. A tip of one impasto element in the upper right quadrant appears slightly flattened. There are some minor traces of studio detritus. Subject to the above the work is in excellent overall condition, with fresh and vibrant colours. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.
