Condition

There is an old vertical crack to the palette, running from the top of the palette to the lower right of the thumbhole, in line with the grain of the wood, which has been repaired with four sections of wood, stapled to the reverse. There is a further small repaired crack to the lower right corner of the palette. There are some losses to some of the raised elements of paint, including towards the upper right edge of the palette. There is some studio detritus and surface dirt to the work. There are natural signs of wear, age and use to the piece, including rubs and knockings. The work is freestanding.
