Condition

This work is in overall good condition. The upper edge of the work is taped in two places to the mount.There is light handling wear at the upper right and lower left corners. Some minor foxing and soiling are visible on the front and reverse of the mount. Framed under Plexiglas.

Catalogue Note

Born in 1934, in Arles, Southern France, Lucien Clergue was a fine art photographer, author, educator and filmmaker whose favorite subjects included sultry nudes and striking pictures of dead bulls. When Clergue was nineteen he met Pablo Picasso, striking a friendship that would last thirty years and one which greatly influenced Clergue’s artistic development.
