Catalogue Note

The first octavo edition of the King James Bible, with "he" in Ruth 3:15. This edition also incorporates several other errors from the 1611 folio edition: Genesis 10:16 has "Emorite" for "Amorite"; Exodus 38:11 "hoopes" for "hookes"; and Revelations 22:15 "scorners" for "sorcerers."

Scarce, in any condition. ESTC locates only nine copies in libraries worldwide and only two copies have sold at auction in the past few decades, one of which was imperfect and the other with the Apocrypha supplied from another copy.
