Text in black letter, double columns, 66 lines to the full column, general title within woodcut border (McKerrow 204), the Order of Psalms, Almanac, and Calendar printed in red and black, Geneva and Prayer Book versions of the Psalter printed side by side (Geneva in roman type, Prayer Book in black letter), 31 woodcut illustrations, maps, and diagrams, woodcut initials, printer's device (McKerrow 194); general title inlaid and final leaf mounted, lacking [pyramid of 3 stars]1 and title-page to the New Testament, e2–3 margins cropped or leaves possibly supplied from a shorter copy, long tear on U2 in Pentateuch affecting one side-note, one leaf cropped at fore-edge, occasional faint text browning. Contemporary calf over wooden boards, paneled in blind with two roll tools, brass corner and center bosses, brass guards nailed along joints; very worn, early replacement of spine with top-stitched reverse calf, foot of spine torn, traces of catchplates on lower cover, clasps missing.
