Black letter, double column text, 60 lines to the full column, 4 divisional titles within woodcut borders (Part 2, McKerrow 182; Part 3, Apocrypha, and New Testament, McKerrow 181 with Jugge's device of the Pelican in Her Piety in the bottom roundel), 8 woodcut text illustrations, maps, and diagrams (3 full-page), woodcut initial "B" at the beginning of Psalms with William Cecil, Lord Burghley's arms, numerous woodcut floral and historiated initials; lacking all preliminaries (16 leaves, including the Book of Common Prayer) and blank leaves N8, Ii4, and Fff8, general title-page supplied in facsimile, A2–7 in facsimile, A1 defective and partially supplied in facsimile, upper right corners of Bb2–3 in facsimile, about 3 other defective leaves, a few tears slightly affecting borders of Part 2 and New Testament title-pages and some text elsewhere, some side-notes and headlines shaved close or cropped, light browning throughout. Eighteenth-century calf, green mottled edges; worn, covers detached, spine defective.
