Catalogue Note

The Old Testament and the Apocrypha are the "Matthew" Bible version (i.e., the translation of William Tyndale edited by John Rogers), revised by Richard Taverner, further revised by Edmund Becke, who edited the whole. These were previously published in separate octavo parts by Day and Seres. The New Testament closely agrees with Day and Seres's Tyndale Testaments of 1548 and 1551; and is practically identical with that printed by Day alone, probably in 1551.
