Two leaves from the first edition in English of this popular compilation of saints' lives and wonder stories, written in Latin in the thirteenth century, and soon translated into many vernacular languages. This bifolium contains the life of Paul of Thebes (Saint Paul, the first hermit), as well as portions of the lives of saints Sylvester and Remigius.
