The first edition of the Greek New Testament in portable format. Edited by Nikolaus Gerbel of Pforzheim, ecclesiastical lawyer in Strasbourg, who had assisted Oecolampadius in proof-reading the 1516 edition of Erasmus’s Greek-Latin New Testament, which was used as source text.
