Condition
Illustration is accurate. Nice model. Delicate and fine carving on the stem and legs. The top is made of a single and large leaf of mahogany with four cracks in the timber.
Several minor marks scratches and a few stains on the top.
Attractive gilt bronze rim
The gilding of the rim of the top is slightly tarnished. The legs were probably decorated with gilt-bronze friezes which are now missing. We do not know if these friezes were original or added as the other similar models we know are not fitted with these friezes. The top can be folded vertically and then it can be fixed on the stem. There is a fixing element which is missing but it can be easily replaced.
