Description

  • gold and enamel
of ovoid form, decorated in polychrome enamels with stellar cartouches featuring male and female portraits in between floral medallions and bands containing floral details and birds, the central band comprising vertical arrowheads aligned next to each other, the separate cup section with en-suite decoration, fitted into central aperture, with velvet and silk bag

Condition

In generally good condition, the enamel strong and bright throughout, one or two minor section with overpainting, some of the metal arrow-head mounts with oxidisation, resulting in some bends and loose elements, including one piece which was recently restored. ON the cup, some of these are missing and others slightly loose, the tray of the cup with some erosion and slightly loose sections, as viewed.
