Description
- enamel, gold and silver
decorated with bright polychrome enamels on a gold ground with inscriptive cartouches and medallions containing Biblical imagery, landscapes and ladies amidst a floral and bird ground, above a silver and gilt body with engraved foliate design
Condition
In general good condition, some hairline cracks to enamel body and rubbing with some losses, notably under spout and on neck with associated overpainting, some mior oxidisation to silver body, the bottom part is most probably a later replacement, the verses would have continued onto this section before it was replaced, as viewed.
