Description

  • Lacquer on wood, mirror
of rectangular form with two hinged shutters and hooks opening to reveal a large mirror, decorated on the exterior with floral cartouches and interspersed birds, borders include portrait medallions, interiors with scenes of courtship with inscriptive borders, reverse with painted floral wood boards

Condition

In fair condition, one shutter with hairline crack running down surface of exterior and interior with some associated discoloration. One hook missing. Minor chips to external edges and nicks, boards to back-side loose, with wear and some stains, as viewed. Colours overall strong.
