the slender cylindrical barrel with gilt chevron bands near the tip and arabesque motifs along upper edge on a watered-steel ground, clasped by sixteen carved and chased capuchines set along the underside with corals between filigree details, the wooden stock with vestiges of red velvet lining, the forestock set with corals on a densely carved ground with gilt details, the lock with gold stylised stellar motifs, gold date under lock
Condition
The condition generally good, some oxidisation to surface, some nicks and rubbing throughout, few minor cracks in silver lining, one or two corals missing, some probably replacements (some carved and some smooth), the stock with lining with only vestiges of velvet remaining, some discoloration, as viewed.
