Catalogue Note
The design, based on an infinite geometric pattern and colour tones, comprising a dark green, ochre, black and white, recall the tiles which adorn the Alhambra, Granada, as well as other Nasrid buildings in Seville and elsewhere, inspiring generations of artists and travellers. Comparable tiles are in the V&A, London, and the Museum Folkwang, Essen.
