Description

  • ceramic
the body of bulbous form on a gently spreading foot with straight wide cylindrical neck and attached strap handle, the body moulded with entwining geometric shapes, decorated in light honey-coloured overglaze lustre, featuring three seated figures, each in a stellar frame at the front of the body, with vegetal motifs throughout, interior of neck with pseudo-calligraphic inscription

Condition

The body intact, handle broken and replaced with moulded clay to fit original appearance, small chips around edge of rim, one particularly larger than others, minor chips to base of foot, some craquelure to glaze, rubbing and light scratches, minor losses to glaze, otherwise, glaze strong, as viewed.
