Arabic manuscript on vellum, 58 leaves plus 2 flyleaves, 19 lines to the page, written in neat small Maghribi script in brown ink, margins ruled in red and blue, catchwords, f.1a with an illuminated headpiece composed of large gold text in ornamental Eastern Kufic script against a scrolling vegetal ground within gold strap-work borders, with an illuminated medallion stretching into the margin, chapter headings in larger gold script throughout, brown morocco binding with tooled geometric motifs
Condition
In reasonably good overall condition, binding worn and repaired, various marginal paper repairs throughout, stains, as viewed.
