Persian manuscript on polished paper, 459 leaves, 14 lines to the page, written in neat nasta'liq script in black ink within 2 columns, headings in alternating gold and blue, catchwords, margins ruled in gold, black and blue, opening double page frontispiece finely illuminated with gold and polychrome interlacing split-palmettes against a blue ground, text within cloud bands against a gold ground sprinkled with flowers, brown morocco binding with gilt-stamped cartouches and corner pieces filled with interlacing vines, doublures with filigree-work cartouches, missing flap
Condition
In generally good overall condition, opening and closing pages with paper repairs to leaf edges, some water staining and other occasional stains and light creasing, pages generally clean and ink bold, binding worn, missing flap with spine repaired, as viewed.
