Description

  • ink and gold on paper, bound leather
Arabic manuscript on paper, 303 leaves plus a flyleaf, 15 lines to the page, written in black naskh script, verses separated by pointed gold roundels, surah headings in white within gold foliate panels, opening illuminated frontispiece in colours and gold, numerous floral marginal medallions, red morocco binding with rococo floral decoration

Condition

In generally good overall condition, pages cropped, spine repaired, occasional smudges and stains, pages generally clean, slight rubbing to frontispiece, as viewed.
