Description

  • ink gouache and gold on paper, leather binding
Ottoman Turkish manuscript on paper, 392 leaves plus 8 flyleaves, 19 lines to the page in columns and horizontal dividing panels separated by gold rules, opening page with illuminated frontispiece in colours and gold, text in neat naskh script in black ink, with headings in red ink, brown morocco binding with gilt stamped medallion and corner pieces filled with chinoiserie cloud bands and scrolling vines, with flap  

Condition

In general good condition, leather binding lined with green silk cloth on interior, two added fly leaves, one at front and other on back with blue paper and stamped floral design, some minor ware to binding, could be slightly consolidated, generally clean, as viewed.
