of rectangular form, with crimson silk velvet ground and beige silk and metal thread rows of carnation fan palmettes emanating from tulips flanked by saz leaves, mounted on stretcher with linen backing

Condition

Both in overall good condition, the velvet in generally good condition although there are sections that are more worn, most of the metal-thread missing, areas of loose thread, cut down, the edges frayed and with associated consolidation (sown onto the linen mount), some stains to background, as viewed.
