sculpté en forme de deux cosses de lotus aux contours chantournés enveloppées de fines tiges chargées de feuilles et de fleurs s'enroulant gracieusement pour former la base, une cosse visitée d'une petite coccinelle, la pierre rehaussée de taches brun foncé et chamois

Acquired in China between 1894 and 1922.
Thence in the family by descent.

Condition

There are small overall fritts to the raised parts of the carving. There are two tips of a trefoil leaf broken off and missing. The stone is a more greyish colour than the catalogue illustration suggests.
