Description
- Gilt-bronze
debout sur une base lotiforme, la main droite ramenée devant la poitrine, vêtu d'un long dhoti noué à la taille délicatement orné de rinceaux de lotus ciselés, de longues écharpes s'enroulant autour des bras et retombant au sol, parée de nombreux bijoux, le front ceint d'une couronne ouvragée à cinq fleurons, la chevelure soigneusement détaillée et nouée en un chignon surmonté d'un ornement, les yeux mi-clos sous des sourcils arqués, le nez droit, la bouche souriante, l'expression sereine, une inscription Jing zhu ye zhang pusa incisée sur la base, au dos l'inscription Dong Yi, non scellée

Condition
The figure is heavily cast and richly gilt. The base is unsealed. The fingers of the figure's left hand are cast separately and are missing. The attribute held in the figure's right hand is missing. There is a ca. 2.5cm long stress crack to the metal on the back of the figure's neck extending into the right strand of hair falling across his right shoulder. There is a filled in casting flaw/patch contemporaneous with the casting of the figure just below the figure's chin on his neck. There is a small area where the surface of the bronze is flawed on the back of the figure (casting flaw). The tip of the back of the crown and the jewel surmounting the hair bun have been bruised. There are a stress crack across each of the flowing ribbon, and a thin ca. 2 cm long stress crack across the upper part of the figure's belly. There are traces of red pigment to the lips.
