Description

  • Gilt-bronze
debout en alidhasana piétinant des petits démons sur une double base lotiforme, en yab-yum avec sa parèdre Vajravarahi, l'enlaçant de deux bras tenant un vajra et une cloche, ses dix autres bras tenant divers attributs, paré de nombreux bijoux, ses quatre têtes couronnées, la chevelure nouée en un lourd chignon orné d'une petite image d'un Bouddha, l'expression courroucée, non scellée

Condition

The figure, the trident and the khatvanga (pike) and base are made separately. The base is unsealed. Both staffs are slightly bent, and there is light overall wear to the gilding. There are traces of red to the mouth of the main figure. The base is very slightly warped. The gilding is not as golden as the catalogue illustration suggests.
