Condition

Very good condition overall. Wear consistent with age and use within the culture. The pearls are very well preserved on all the visible surfaces. The lower part shows a looser weave, probably of more recent manufacture.

Constituée d’anneaux superposés, cette œuvre mêle harmonieusement les bracelets de perles et ceux de laiton que les femmes portent habituellement aux chevilles et au cou. Figurine de protection et de fertilité détenue par les jeunes femmes pubères, cette rare poupée présente un visage esquissé par des perles blanches.
