l'intérieur décoré en relief de deux poissons tournoyant parmi des lotus épanouis, le bord inférieur portant l'inscription Zhengtong ba nian shi yue ershiwu ri Li Yu (1442)

Provenance

Acquired in China between 1894 and 1922.
Thence in the family by descent.

Condition

The bowl is heavily cast. There is a ca. 6cm long crack where the galleried rim joins the everted rim. The bronze is patinated to a dark brown colour and covered with a whitish-green patina and dirt. Otherwise in overall good condition.
