de forme cylindrique, sculpté et ajouré d’un côté d’une tête de dragon, de l’autre d’une patte à cinq griffes et d’une perle flammée sur un fond dense de nuages tourbillonnants, la pierre tachetée de couleur vert foncé avec une partie plus foncée sur un des côtés à la base, socle en bois (2)
Condition
This jade censer originally formed the top part of a very large cylindrical jade censer. It is in overall good condition. There is minor fritting to the raised parts of the design and around both rims. There is a ca. 11cm long natural vein running from the bottom rim into the sides of the censer and a ca. 10x5cm wide part to the lower rim where the colour of the jade is slightly darker and mottled. There is an associated wood base.
