Good condition overall. As visible in the catalogue illustration, the lower part of the right leg is missing ; edges show traces of wear consistent with great age and use within the culture. Good condition overall with a beautiful green milky color.

Ce pendentif hei tiki se distingue par son très beau volume, tant dans l'épaisseur de la néphrite s'épanouissant dans les courbes puissantes de l'abdomen et des bras, que dans l'ampleur du corps qui se déploie dans l'espace. Les Maori reconnaissent et nomment les différents effets graphiques et colorés des néphrites, qui déterminent la valeur et la beauté de l’objet. Plus la néphrite est laiteuse, comme ici, plus l’ornement est de qualité.
