Condition

This work appears to be in generally good overall condition. There are few minor traces of threadlike stable craquelure along the edges, along the upper margin and in the centre toward left. There is a minor trace of dirt by the lower left corner. No traces of retouching appear to be visible under UV light.

Catalogue Note

"Bonalumi therefore causes the raised parts of his surfaces to move subtly, and only here and there is an exuberant object to be found, similar to an overhang. As a result, the soft sensuality that envelops the geometric shapes is accentuated and the deepest shadow that curves around it helps to bring it to life. The objects created by Bonalumi with equal severity and sensitivity are characterized by the fact that they stir both the perception and the imagination."
