Lot 151 to 170
Collection Juliana Huber

“To my adored daughter, the little princess of Rapperswill, I dedicate this small art book”.

With these words, Semiha Huber introduced the book she offered her daughter Juliana for her eleventh birthday on June 10th 1961, a livre d’or that would be illustrated by the greatest artists of the time.

From Andy Warhol’s Torsos chosen at the time by Semiha during the first presentation of this series on October 27th 1977 at the FIAC, to presents from César or Pomodoro, in passing by the sublime group of works by Vasarely or the iconic Pop’s History by Erro, Juliana Huber’s collection is the mirror of the fascination for major artworks that inspired Semiha and her daughter Juliana for almost 40 years.

Numerous dedications left by the artists on the works of the collection testify to a sincere proximity with the artists, the very essence of their shared passion for art and the veritable driving force of Juliana Huber’s choices. Thus, emotion is present everywhere in this collection that Sotheby’s is very honoured to offer for sale.
