Catalogue Note

“For the first time, an art derived from civilisation returns to the aesthetics of nature at the heart of primitive art. It passes through artistic beauty, debatable according to periods or fashions, to join the emotion of the spectacle of nature. Thus, this work, conceived of and fashioned by man, slips discreetly into a foreign reign. The very same attitude as the child, whose unhindered intelligence combines with the movements of nature, that is to say poetry.”
