Description

  • A Large Egyptian Banded Alabaster Jar

  • Height 8 1/2 in. 21.6 cm.
of broad rounded from with short neck, overhanging rounded rim, and twin elliptical handles each with flaring projection below.

Mrs. Mina Merrill Prindle (1864-1963), Duluth, Minnesota and Pasadena, California, acquired from the above July 7th, 1922
thence by descent to the present owners

Condition

There are several stress cracks radiating from the bottom of the jar, one of them continuing up to the top of the rim on one side. There remains of old tape stuck to the bottom. Otherwise excellent.
