Condition
Intact and as shown and described; the gold earring (ancient but not necessarily original to the cat ) is repaired. The surface, which has a modern wax coating sometimes used on ancient Egyptian bronzes, is prone to bronze disease, and this condition has been treated more than once, resulting in some barely visible pitting to the surface. The piece should be kept in a vitrine at a controlled humidity. A full report by a professional conservator is available upon request.
