  • An Egyptian Bronze Figure of Harpocrates

  • Height 6 1/2 in. 16.5 cm.
the child Horus seated with his feet resting on a foot-stool inscribed with his name “Hor-pa-khered”, holding his right forefinger to his mouth, and wearing a necklace and the crown of Amun with uraeus, the inserted plumes missing, the missing side-lock of youth cast separately, his necklace with two tear-shaped pendants in front and lotus or papyrus flowers and petal-shaped ornaments behind, the finely-modeled face with large eyes partially overlaid in silver.

Condition

Very good and as shown and described; the head of the uraeus is worn and slightly chipped, slight damage to the eye rims, one eyebrow appears to be inlaid(?), the inlay missing from the other one.
