Oil on canvas, canvas is lined. Surface: In good condition aside from visible canvas weave from being pressed. UNDER UV: a few scattered dots of inpainting in the sky.

William Glackens and his family spent the summer of 1925 in Samois-sur-Seine, a small commune in the Fontainebleau Arrondissement, southeast of Paris, near the commune of Moret-sur-Loing famous as the home of Alfred Sisley (see note to lot 107).
