Catalogue Note
Some Jaina figures represent small scale portraits of individuals, as seen by the nearly identical characteristics among specific sculptures. This high status figure is also modeled in a seated posture in the Museo Regional de Campeche (Kimball 1960: Pl. 3), each showing the curvilinear facial tattoos, firm expression, earrings and fine headband fringe of tubular ornaments.
