Condition

Overall very good condition. The wood surfaces with minor surface scratches, abrasions, and a few isolated areas of discoloration consistent with age and gentle use. The edge of the box top with two minute dents, not visually distracting. The box with two small restorations, one approximately 1/4 inch in diameter, the other approximately 1/2 inch in diameter, both visible in the catalogue illustration on the left side. The front edge of the box with an area of concentrated abrasions, visible in the catalogue illustration. The interior with the same wood as the exterior and retains its original leather support strap. A wonderfully sculptural piece by Castle.
