Literature
Colori e forme nella casa d’oggi, exh. cat., Villa Olmo, Como, Italy, 1957, p. 54 (for the present lot)
Condition
The brass base and shade have areas of surface oxidation and occasional minor marks and abrasions commensurate with age and use. The nut that secures the wooden stem to the base is slightly loose and as a result of the movement in this area there are several small flake loss nibbles to edges where the wood stem connects to the top of conical brass foot. The interior of shade appears to have been repainted. Overall in our opinion the lamp presents well. Please note that the color in the catalogue photograph is slightly washed out. In reality the brass elements have a warmer, and in our opinion, a more attractive gold tone. This presents a rare opportunity to acquire a scarce model.
