Condition
Overall condition very good. Please note this lot is promised to an upcoming exhibition at the Georgia Museum of Art in 2017. The successful purchaser will be put in contact with the museum after the auction. The surfaces and extremities of the desk have been lightly cleaned and applied with a varnish. The desk retains a firm structure, and in our opinion presents well. Overall this presents a rare opportunity to acquire a scarce Gio Ponti model. Please note that the color in the catalogue photograph is slightly washed out. In reality the wood has a warmer, and in our opinion, a more attractive tone.
