Condition

Overall in very good original condition. Please note that this box is illustrated under number 297 in the paper catalogue. The decorative motif represents a "Comptable" (an accountant). When viewed in person, the gilt bronze presents with a richer tone than seen in the catalogue illustration. The surfaces with a few minor surface scratches, minute edge abrasions and light surface discoloration consistent with age and gentle handling. The cork-lined interior appears to be original and in very good condition. A great object which epitomizes Line Vautrin's unique imagination.
