Condition

Overall in good condition. . The scale is a wonderful example of American modern epitomizing the aesthetic in the design of the case and the graphic design in the paint of the foot. The scale is functional and retains the original paper tickets. The surfaces with some surface scratches, some scattered abrasions and some light surface soiling consistent with age and gentle use. The yellow lacquer with some scattered losses and oxidation to the metal, visible in the catalogue illustration. The proper right side of the scale with a larger abrasion below the handle, with some loss to the lacquer, visible in the catalogue illustration. The nickel-plate on the handle with minor rubbing, not visually distracting. The "step on it" base is in good condition, showing a few surface scratches, minor paint losses, small dents and a few abrasions along the upper edge, the largest one along the proper left edge, measuring approximately 3/4 inches in length and not visually distracting. With two original keys, which are oxidized. A wonderful example of the skyscraper design that dominated the American modern aesthetic of the period.
