Condition

Overall in very good condition. The alabaster appears to be original and presents with a few minor surface scratches, minor edge abrasions and light surface soiling consistent with age and gentle use. The center of the coupe with a few concentrated surface scratches, visible in the catalogue illustration. The silvered bronze elements are all original and present with some surface scratches, minor abrasions, some oxidation and light surface soiling to the recessed areas consistent with age and gentle use. The ceiling light appears to have retained its four original "baïonnette" bulbs sockets. The hanging cords appear to have been replaced at some point in the history of the piece and are in good condition with minor wear and light surface soiling. A superb work by Ruhlmann, distinguished by the remarkable metalwork.
