Condition
Overall in very good condition. The surfaces present with a few minor surface scratches and very minor abrasions consistent with age and gentle use. The eggshell surface is in remarkable condition, and appears intact and stable. The corners of the top with very minor area of restoration. One of the corners with a very shallow indentation along the edge, measuring ¾ inch in length and only visible upon close inspection. The orange lacquer surface appears to have been sensitively applied with a varnish for protection and stabilisation and presents with a few isolated areas of discoloration. The outside edges of the table with a few small areas of sensitively undertaken restoration to the lacquer, only visible upon close inspection. The interior top of each leg with a minute hairline crack in the lacquer in the continuity of the legs, stable. A remarkable work by Jean Dunand, with extraordinary detailing to the eggshell top.
